Fitch Security Integration acquired by B.C.-based Guardteck

Vancouver-based Guardteck Security Co. announced Tuesday it has acquired Fitch Security Integration Inc. of Toronto. Details of the financial transaction were not disclosed.

Guardteck, founded in 2005, provides security services — including uniformed security, mobile patrol services, event management and security technology solutions — to clients such as property management companies, national retail accounts and live music production companies. Fitch Security Integration Inc. is a provider of electronic security systems, including design, installation, service, as well as ULC monitoring. Fitch Security supplies, installs and services CCTV systems, access control systems, duress systems, intrusion alarms and ULC system(s) monitoring.

Fitch was founded in 1981, marking 40 years in business this year. The company was awarded Integrator of the Year in 2018 by SP&T News based on an access control project completed for a student residence facility in downtown Toronto. Fitchett was inducted in SP&T’s Hall of Fame in 2017.
